Kerberos, with its double-lobed shape and chaotic rotation, was likely formed from the debris of a massive collision, embodying the violent and tumultuous events that can give birth to new celestial bodies. In mythology, Kerberos is the ferocious three-headed dog that guards the gates of the underworld, preventing the dead from leaving. This piece captures the ferocity and instability of the moon, reflecting the raw power and chaotic nature of its mythological counterpart, as well as the cosmic violence which led to its emergence.
