Keith’s version sounds like an anthem. Pure adrenaline from the moment, all wild teenage recklessness. Sam’s version sound like a story. A boy looking back and telling his love about the moment he realized he was in love.
TLDR; both are amazing with totally different vibes meant for different people. Unless you like both, then it’s just more of a good thing.

For some odd reason, this song made me thing of my father who passed away in January 2020...it's music like this that makes me think of his life growing up and the moments that he really felt alive...knowing that he had those moments and that he really was here and his life really did matter. He might not ever be immortalized in a song directly about him but songs like these are the soundtracks of our lives...RIP Gregory Alan Wood, you lived at one time...and you were the best damn dad to ever exist

I like both versions because it's two different voices that are amazing and they both have their own way to sing! It would be awesome if Sam Hunt and Keith Urban sang this together because that would just sound awesome!!

Both Keith and Sam are very good at singing and sort of interpreting this song. I would not say that one version is any better than the other. I remember years ago I was listening to this song when it first came out and my husband is looking at the expression on my face and he said You like this song, don’t you? And I replied, Uhh, yeah, I don’t know WHY but I do!!! I was probably thinking Oh, I can see how this crazy thing could happen .
