Baltimore and Miami ordered their original rolling stock together and saved money with the bigger order, so it makes sense for them to do the same upgrade

Always love seeing any upgrades, everything counts, Trimet around here for example is finally phasing out their 1st gen MAX stock with their new 6th gen

Even though i’m not too familiar with Baltimore or Subway lines, i see this as a win for y’all

Needed upgrade, the Baltimore subway link is literally breaking at the seams.
Wonder how this would affect the comfort and safety of the trips.
Honestly, a good boost for an underdeveloped, unsafe and dilapidated subway system.

Idk if they should take away all of the old cars. They should keep some just incase of an emergency or error

They better make the seats comfortable. The newer rolling stocks of subway cars across the country have insanely uncomfortable seats compared to the old ones. The 7000 series DC metro cars, legacy BART fleet cars, and the Budds in Miami (the same ones that Baltimore still has) for example had comfortable seats in their older rolling stocks but the new ones have seats that are painful to sit in.

I’m from Baltimore I my commute rely heavy on the metro subway and bus. These “New” rail cars look the same.

The new hichachi cars look the same as the budd cars. Just a different color on the front. I thought the architecture of the stations was the Brutalist architecture, less like an 80s mall.

Stainless steel flags??? I was hoping for a colorful livery using the colors of Maryland's state flag! (Red, White, Gold, Black)

I actually wish we had more painted trains in the U.S. There are so few. WMATA is finally bringing back a paint scheme after ditching the brown paint for unpainted steel a few years ago.

These look extremely similar to the new cars for Los Angeles’s B and D lines. Wonder if they’re the same manufacturer.
