Lost AWS EC2 SSH Keys or never created one?

Follow the steps to add new SSH key pair to existing Amazon Web Services ( AWS ) EC2 Instance.
Step 1 and 2 are for those who have an Elastic Beanstalk Id connected to the EC2 instance.
otherwise,
follow Step 1 and 3 onwards.

I tried every step but some how the main ec2 instance dosnt connect using the new key pairs copied in from the revovery vm ? No clue what to do as the main source vm is not connectingthrough putty . I have accidently deleted its main key pair which was created during instance creation the first main machine, dont know what to do ?

how to change ssh port? i need to change 22 to 2233. it doesnt work.
