I had an ES 5 channel long ago. It died. But, they made those crazy aluminum subwoofers with the red heat sink out front. Loved those. I bet these speakers will sound great. And probably this new HU too.

I ordered the new sony mobile ES XS162ES for the fronts and XS690ES for the rears directly from sony with the XM GS4 amplifier. I cannot wait to enjoy the most out of apple music lossless on my commutes.

Dean, THANK YOU for bringing this to us Live and ASAP!

I'm a long-time Sony Mobile ES enthusiast, so it's great to see the Mobile ES line back in the family.

However, there are a few things I'm disappointed in with this announcement. IMO they missed a few KEY Features that would have made this the End All/Be All head unit which could have pretty much destroyed the current competition. Sony didn't "Elevate the Standard" quite high enough.

Hopefully Kenwood's upcoming in-dash DD XR and future floating display units will respond to this Sony release.

I will say that I generally prefer Sony's GUI and on-screen graphic design far more than the Kenwoods.
