Am I the only person who despite liking future soldier the way it was released but wished it was more like this

Bullshit. The game lost any originality it might have had when the developers decided to drop everything just so they could compete with Modern Warfare 3 and Battlefield 3. The original version had small details that made gave the technology plausibility like the a power generator for the cloaking on your back, a holographic eyeglass with a thick wire running down your neck. All that disappeared with the final version.

Damn, where's the military rover, the exoskeleton, that standard rifle for ghosts, and the shoulder mounted rocket launcher? :(

The exoskeleton is actually real.It's supposed to let you carry twice as much with those on, but still let you walk at a normal wartime pace.

I still think they should make a game like this too. Okay yes, they did originally have this planned, but changed it during development, but that doesn't mean they should just scrap the idea completely. Perhaps maybe a Future Soldier sequel would be like this.

The idea of the shoulder/back-mounted rocket launcher was scrapped, although it does make an appearance to the short movie prequel of GRFS named Ghost Recon Alpha. The Ghost assault rifle was scrapped along with it, however, I believe it can still be found in the Nintendo Wii version or Ghost Recon Predator. Same goes with that 'more mobile' drone and the cloak. Basically, all these 4 made an appearance in Ghost Recon Alpha for some reason...

@dantedmc93te original was just called 'Ghost Recon', it was a 2002 release pc game so you can maybe find it on ebay or amazon, maybe second hand in some shop if you're lucky. It had 2 add-ons aswell called Desert siege and Island thunder, online play aswell.

This game is looks amazing i really want this more than Black Ops, but i honestly don't get why people are hating on the futuristic tech, that is what separates it from the crowd and makes it awesome.

@AltairVF I cheacked on the Ubisoft site:
a) release date: "Ghost Recon: Future Soldier is scheduled for release during the financial year 2011-2012"
b) Xbox, PS3, PSP and Wii versions are confirmed- no single mention about PC (a.k.a- ther is some hope, but most likely it's not comming to PC)

@AramilSiandol Fix: diging more for a bit, and I found Amzon offering the game for PC pre-order, saying that the game will be released on October 30, 2011. This is not official so don't get too excited, yet it's something giving info about possible release and some hope for PC.

researched all of these, the exoskeleton HULC finished its testing phase inside US soil not too long ago, and is ready to deployed to Afghanistan be tested there. The invisibility cloak is still in prototype phase, but some resources outside claim to be in use (outside news footage.) As for the rifles and drones, I don't know when they're coming out, or if they even exist, but according to UBISOFT, they're based off of real weaponry.

If you guys wanna know when the beta comes check Gamestop site and search for Ghost Recon FS and check the bonus for Pre-Ordering, it will be the beta when it release in June and a extra multiplayer map. And I'm glad they taking there time just upset no new updates for a year
