Charming track from the 1972 LP "Free to Be You and Me". Also included on the Expanded Edition CD "Touch Me in the Morning" (2010), and on the soundtrack to the Charlize Theron film "Young Adult" (2011).

I used this song in a slide show I made in college in 1976 when I just stumbled upon it at the library. The slide show was of children that I photographed on fountain square in Cincinnati. Now today, in 2014 my oldest son is getting married and after looking at photos of his finance and him as children I thought of this song and its innocence. I can't believe I found it on you tube, but the power of the internet is AWESOME. I am going to use it in a slide show at his rehearsal dinner. Ah the circle of life!

I remember hearing this song a lot when I was a kid. When I saw "Young Adults", which is a great film by the way, I was very moved by the placement of the song. I downloaded off iTunes right away. What a wonderful song, full of good, positive energy. Reminds me of a better time...

This was so well fitted in "Young Adult".

I never would have it was Diana Ross singing this song. It’s so simple and beautiful. And she wrote it in 1973. Amazing.

One of my very favorite songs when I was a child. I memorized the lyrics and listened to the entire album constantly. I'm sharing it with my nephews now.

I grew up in Motown and this is just a sample of what I was raised on simple and strong.

The voice of an Angel so pleasing to listen to. Total respect for Diana Ross. Her and Karen Carpenter the only 2 true Angelic voices ever.

Familiar song I used to listen in my childhood in 70s. I still remember 40 years latter.

Thumbs up of you saw this on Young Adult, were born in the 70's, and are crying your eyes out right now....

This may seem rediculous, but I first heard this song tonight while playing with my friend's small 3-legged kitty named Beanie and it will now forever remind me of her as she twirled around with loving eyes and joy! ❤😺🎶

This is from the children’s album “Free to Be You and Me”, produced by Marlow Thomas, and with a bunch of stars from different genres including Rosy Greer singing “It’s Alright to Cry”.

Came here cause of the movie Young Adult. I'd never heard this song before. I found out it was also on the Marlo Thomas Show back in the 70's. Guess I was born too late to see it (born in 1978). good song!
