Can't understand why folks are saying that they're not dunks just because he didn't touch the rim. Did you see the velocity in which those ball went in the rim? Wow. For you guys who don't consider that a dunk...well then that is something more impressive than a dunk...lol.

Dear everyone complaining about Blake Griffin's dunk. You make yourself look silly when you try and claim it's not a dunk because he didn't grab the rim. 

For clarification purposes - A Dunk, like all other shots, is defined by the motion of the shot, not whether or not a hand grabs the rim and by definition it is the motion of throwing the ball down through the rim. 

There is NO such thing as a power layup or above the rim layup or whatever some of you come up with.

Nothing about that definition says anything about requiring contact with the rim.

just so everyone knows a dunk is defines as to "throw the ball in from above the rim" so these are 100 percent dunks, and if you ever played basketball its much harder to dunk without touching the rim, than it is to touch

Google Definition of a dunk: a shot downward into the basket with the hands above the rim. So Blake's dunks do qualify, his hands were all above the rim. Dwight also did a similar dunk in the Slam Dunk contest (what he called sling shot dunk).
