The first phase of the Riyadh Metro project has officially been launched in Saudi Arabia’s capital. This development marks a significant step in reshaping the city’s public transportation landscape. And the RTA will introduce variable salik toll pricing, including higher tolls at peak times - and free at slower points. That's from the end of next January. There will also be variable parking tarriffs, including special parking fees of 25 dhs per hour near event venues. The aim of both is to smooth traffic flow.
