I've heard songs that feel like they're constantly building, but never actually reaching a climax. This song doesn't feel like it's building at all; it simply _is._ Constant. Rather fitting wouldn't you say, given her desire for Eternal stasis.

Man, phase 1 really just feels like a dark souls boss fight. The scene before where paimon kept saying how Raiden is pretty much invincible and then a minute later you're thrust into her bloodmoon lit arena as she walks around confidently, waiting to strike your ass with 3-4 hits and down your character just feels like a hopeless situation for you

When I stepped up to face the archon of lightning, I felt an overwhelming presence emanating from her very being. I gripped my sword tightly. This phase in my opinion is AMAZING, almost better than the phase 2, because of the atmosphere it commands.
That heart-beating sound you hear? That represents the racing heartbeat of the traveler ringing in their ears. Every attack you fling at her doesn't even make her flinch- and doesn't do nearly as much damage as you thought it would. As she circles you with her blade in her hand, you notice the halo hanging behind her back. You attack her with everything you have, and it does little damage. You're truly dealing with a God-like being. It's at this point you stop asking yourself, 'I can win this, right?' That question is replaced with another:
*"Can I survive?"*
The vision hunt decree is enforced in her world, and the usage of your skills is removed. Every swing of her weapon rips your characters HP asunder. She shrugs off your attacks and inches closer to you with a thousand-yard stare, the same she must have given for several others who may have opposed her will.

This phase literally was made to intimidate you. It's "OH SHIT OH FUCK OH SHIT OH FUCK OH SHIT" The theme, and I LOVE IT.

Im an avid dark souls player and I first started playing genshin impact because of my girlfriend. She is really partially sighted and has a hard time playing it. And up until inazuma and the fight with Raiden. Genshin was pretty easy. But when I eventually went into a boss fight with Raiden for the first time... Well that was the hardest boss I ever had to fight. And the ost just speaks volumes of "this is a futile struggle. I'm about the get destroyed no matter how much I fight back"

The worldbuilding/setup and setting of the world of Inazuma leading up to the fight was pretty well orchestrated, no vision, no paimon, you're all alone with nothing but a god at the end of time. Sumeru and Fontaine at that point couldn't hold a candle to the great Vision Hunt Decree!

Had this indented into my head, fought her for 45 minutes straight with 9 chicken madames and was insanely thankfull for the fish scewers Gorou gave me on the mail box, had to eat an all you can eat amount of food buffs.
