I like william lane craig for actually attempting to tackle the hard questions, he doesn't pussyfoot around it, he actually shows that he's considered the question but it's clear he's developed a hemorrhoid during the attempt

My favorite argument from WLC when evaluating the probability that a resurrection happened (in order to prove god) that the probability is very high because god can do anything. A little bit circular, eh?

Imagine if Jesus perfectly fitted the Jewish description of a Messiah. Would WLC argue that the Gospels deserve less credence? I don't think so, quite on the contrary he (or any other apologist for that matter) would use it as evidence in favor of Christianity. There's no possible state of the world that could make them change their minds, they are painfully committed to try square the circle at all costs.

Any rabbis whose ordination is worth the paper it is written on can rip apart the Christian claims of Jesus being a messiah in mere seconds. The idea of the messiah who died and rose form the dead is not found in any Jewish scripture. The idea of the messiah being divine or semi-divine is not found in Jewish scripture. The idea that the messiah must dies for the sins of other specifically contradicts the Jewish scriptures. In fact Jewish scriptures specifically forbid human sacrifice under any circumstances and state that each person is alone responsible for their actions and can only atone for their transgressions directly not through any intermediary. As someone pointed out the Christian idea of the zombie god comes from the Babylonians and other pagan groups around the Roman world. Likewise the virgin birth and the rising from the dead.
