So rather than encouraging Disney guests with their extra perks some numpty has had the bright idea of taking away a bit of extra magic but will cost you more for the privilege of being a Disney guest!!! Someone needs to give that person his marching orders and cardboard box of crap!

The Magical Express was the first Disney thing people saw on their vacations, the true beginning of a Disney vacation
sad to see it go. I was expecting them to do something about it on a date closer to when the Disney Springs Brightline station is expected to open. Because then there's another option just around the corner. And I wouldn't have ended the Mears contract but rather re-route the buses to the Disney Springs station, so they pick up passengers coming from MCO at the station and take them to the resorts. Since the ME buses can handle airport passengers unlike regular Disney Transport buses

The Magical Express is ending? How awful! This was a wonderful perk that set the mood for the whole Disney experience! Bad, bad decision.

The magical express/luggage service was one of the reasons I always stayed on property. I think this is a really horrible choice on Disney‘s part. Think maybe I will explore other places to stay.

This is just another disappointment in the Walt Disney Company. I loved Magical Express. When I saw those Disney cast members at the airport welcoming us with those big white Mickey Mouse hands and all the Disney signage as well as the videos, trivia, and cartoons that ran on the tv's., THAT was the moment my Disney vacation started. My first Disney line. I loved that moment, I liked the bus ride. I enjoyed meeting other guests on the bus who were also starting their Disney vacation. I enjoyed the bus drivers who were informative and witty. I loved not worrying about my luggage and having Disney take care of everything. I won't miss it though, because I won't pay to stay on property now that all the perks are gone and the rooms are generic. I didn't mind paying a little more to stay inside the Disney bubble, but it used to come with so many perks that it was worth it. Remember when free parking was a perk of being a resort guest?

If they wanted to provide more incentive for people to stay OFF property, getting rid of Magical Express is a sure way to do it.

I loved the way the Magical Express, with the cartoons and commercials and pre-recorded announcements, felt like the beginning of our Disney World vacation. I’m really going to miss that.

massive massive massive mistake..if I have to rent a car, I will be eating off property and going to other theme parks while I am there...this might be the most stupid thing Disney has ever done

The end of the Magical Express is an absolute outrage. There is now literally no reason to stay on property. Miss me with all that “hotels are an attraction themselves!” talk, I only booked it for the Magical Express perk making check in/out a breeze.

The magical express was great. It allowed those flying in for their Disney vacation to basically start it from the moment they checked their bags that then showed up in their room later that day. This is a big loss and adds costs now for airport travel

Well, for me, the EMH loss is a big deal. That was the reason we stayed onsite. We could knock out several of the popular rides while everyone slept. We don’t use Magical Express but I know a lot of people that love it. Seems like a big mistake to me.

Wow...this is pretty terrible. As someone who visits from overseas, it was just so convenient and you felt like it was a part of the Disney experience. Looks like they’re just taking everything away - even less reason to make the long haul trip over.

I like the EMH change, for the reasons you said. However, I get the impression that they want to charge for more "special night events" which is such an obvious cash grab. The DME change, however, will be devestating. It helps SOOO much when travelling with lots of children and lots of luggage. It was also the only reason we never go to universal.

Good news for Universal. If you have to rent a car, why not spend a day or 2 there too?

This is absolutely ridiculous. Part of the reason we joined DVC and now have 3 contracts is because of the added benefits of staying on property and a big part of that was the Magical Express. Now I’ll have to rent a car and carry car 2 car seats with me.

This is short sighted.
