These films are better than anything out now. Buster Keaton was a genius and funny. Who needs stunt doubles?

My God. It’s more than 100 years old and the direction seems to be better than the current Hollywood trash movies.

Buster Keaton.
What a man.
He could do it all.
And did!
Wrote. Directed. Produced. Acted. Comedy. Drama. Stunts.
The Great Stone Face.
The Greatest of All Time.
And a great guy.
RIP, darling Buster, and thanx so very much for the magic and memories. .

My goodness what a "Tempest in a Teacup".
I often find it hard to engage w/ B&W films but this sure enough did the trick.

I just love how Buster Keaton went through the world in his own space. He never deviated. Reminds me so much of Bill Murray!!

I live in Southern California. We have nothing to compare to this. Seeing one of these departures ( or arrivals ) in Duluth is on my bucket list!

Little known fact: This won the 1922 Academy Award in the category Politically Incorrect Short Subjects.

If you're not laughing throughout this film, you are not alive.

Such a different age, before the "hooked cross" was demonized, before asbestos was dangerous and when a blow to the skull was just another way to administer a sleeping pill

Oil sharks were a thing back then too.

The 1920s attempt at not being racist is hilarious- probably could have tried a little harder. That being said, I love Buster Keaton. Thanks for sharing this.

The "persuasion" joke didn't need the text. I wonder if a master if silent film and physival comedy like Keaton had to deal with execs making a film more "accesible" even back then.
