The Frailty of Fellowship

The Messiah prayed for his Apostles to have unity (John 17:11). He even prayed that those who believe through His Apostles word would be united as well (John 17:20-21). The Messiah wanted His body to be united as one just as He and His father are one (John 17:22). All too often, the unity of the body of Messiah is in jeopardy. The church throughout the centuries has divided numerous times. This video covers what the Bible teaches about how to keep a fellowship united and what to do when problems arise.

You were spot on with this teaching. I passed it on to a pastor friend in Florida.

Excellent and thank you! Ephesians 4 does not mention unity of thought. I've concluded when someone insists that I agree with them that they are really asking me to join their cult. God's Torah is black and white which is why it is correct to divide over sin. But Roman's 14 addresses some of those areas of gray to be addressed in love. After all, harmony is achieved when singing slightly different notes.
