This video "Object Detection Introduction | Difference between Object Detection and Object Recognition" explains the concept of Object Detection thereby giving a gentle introduction of it. It also explains the difference between object detection and object recognition. Object Detection and object recognition are some of the common Computer Vision problems which deals with identifying and locating the object of certain classes in the image. Whether you want to label the objects in the given image or want to do facial recognition or body movement recognition or handwriting recognition or even self-driving cars, you definitely will need to understand this concept quite well. A lot of researches is going on in this field. Interpreting the object localization can be done in various ways, including creating a bounding box around the object or marking every pixel in the image which contains the object called image segmentation about which we have already learned in the previous videos. Object detection in computer vision was a multi-step process before the introduction of Deep Learning Algorithms like Convolutional Neural Network where the model recognizes the features of an image by repeatedly training on the image data.
