Making a Leather Bracelet Chapter 2: creating a Leather Cuff Pattern

For this project series, we will be making leather cuffs and bracelets. In this chapter, Chuck will show you how to create a pattern and cut the leather for a tapered and a tooled leather cuff.

I have to draw my templates in pencil so I can correct my mistakes. Granted I'm usually making templates for holsters and sheaths which tend to be more complicated but I still make more mistakes than I'd care to admit when making patterns for any project. A mechanical pencil and a click type eraser are my best friends when making templates.

quick question, on the outer two straps on the brown cuff I know they have to be just a little longer because they have a longer circumference than the main body of the cuff. Is their a rule of thumb on how much extra length?
