I did several of these, and on the overall they ranged from 6.8-7.1, so overall it wasn`t that bad. But I am a folksinger with a harmonica rack, and I prefer the singing of Bob Dylan and many others like him over the singing I hear on my car radio. Some people did not seem to understand that I am happy to aim for the smaller folk music market, then in trying to get my songs played on commercial country. Some folksingers like to half talk their way through, and one reviewer said that Johnny Cash was the only one who was able to pull it off. That told me right away, that the reviewer had no knowledge of the music he was trying to review, because in folk music there are hundreds who try do this.I ended up with no consistency because there would always be those 10-15 people who did not understand the singing style. On the other hand I had many who gave me 9s and 10s, and who loved the singing. I did two of the 200 reviews, and a couple of the 25 reviews, and it was always the same.

I paid to have a song ‘heard’. They listened and it was pretty much on the money.. Good for positive reinforcement, if your act isn’t terrible. 😊

I submitted a song for review and scored well, above the 7.5 needed to be featured on their crowd picks page. The experience was good for me. I thought the review was fair. It was encouraging to see the positive feedback. And I understood the criticism, which was primarily on the song production. But I’m not in the position to pay to have my songs studio produced. I’m also classified as a folk singer. I certainly have no complaints. But I do understand those that may not have done as well (I.e. scored below 7.5) may not find it worth it. It’s hard to take criticism.

I did it once a few years back. The reviews were okay nothing special. Didn't seem to help my song do better in the market though as there wasn't a lot of actionable info.

I used Tunecore its not expensive and the reviews are 100% real. I had 100 reviews on a track called Same For You . In got a fair spread of participants. Each person gave a comment some 1 line others a paragraph the scores and stats were definitely 100% genuine..I don't think Reverbnation is serious contender from what I've heard.

My band did the 50 reviews a few times. Most reviews seemed fine. My voice sounds British. And many reviews did point that out.

I think some of the "reviews" were fake AI responses and some were from people who didn't understand my music and would never be a part of my audience anyway. I had a review that made absolutely no sense like it was written by an incoherent drunk. A couple reviews compared my song to the Sex Pistols and Fear and had a fitting punk vibe. But then a couple people compared it to Drake and The Beatles and 30 seconds to Mars which made absolutely no sense.

I recently submitted two songs and got good scores, which was exciting. But when I looked more carefully at the individual comments I became somewhat concerned. Some of them were obviously AI-generated, such as the following: "Music is generally defined as the art of arranging sound to create some combination of form, harmony, melody, rhythm or otherwise expressive content. Exact definitions of music vary considerably around the world, though it is an aspect of all human
societies, a cultural universal. This type of music give feel relaxation to mind." Other comments seemed more like a human being made them, and at least some of the suggestions about "what artist did this song remind you of" seemed apropos. So I'm inclined to think that at least some of the llsteners are actual people. Still, I can see potential for a scam in which the site gives lots of great reviews in hopes of getting artists to upgrade to more expensive services. How do I know their score distribution is legit?

I believe that it is a little biased. My music reaches people over 50. I have heard from professionals who have heard my song and have a different view.

It's a joke and a bot for sure, I submitted my song about 5 years ago, my song was on the Billboard Dance chart at # 29 and in regular rotation on radio and satellite radio and being played in the major dance clubs by DJ's EDM is dead now but the review stated it was not radio ready and the beat was to simple and a number of things, rating number was not bad but not enough to get a spot on there page, witch I could care less, my producer who has a number of major hits under his belt, had a blast laughing at the words they used in the review writing about the sound quality, lol he mixed/produced on Michael J's History CD they are exploiting poor people that have no talent for music and robbing them blind. Although I have heard some good talent on there page, but I dislike dishonesty.

This music is very fast. The composer of this music has composed music to dance. So I love this kind of music. 

Many of the other responses were equally generic and it would not surprise me if I submitted more songs for review that some of those might pop up word for word again. I like a lot about RN but they clearly need to review their Crowd Review option - these are not genuine responses and not worth paying for.

I tried it. It was pointless. I didn’t grow as an artist on reverbnation. I made a video about that and an “interesting” terms of use issue regarding payment. I grew from going out in the world and interacting with people rather than being stuck behind an LCD screen.

Not sure who ranks those songs on the top chart list. But many at the top just outright suck. As a casual listener I have found artist ranked between 50 and 200 who had much better songs that should be in the top 10. So they certainly seem a bit shady on how they calculate who gets the tops spots.

Nothing on the site is worth posting your song. I have a copyrighted song that's been infringed do nothing after sending all the paperwork. My song is officially copyrighted. 70% of the song has been stolen word for word. That falls within the parameters for infringement. I can prove the writer heard the original. He admitted it in an email.

Ive used the reverbnation feedback and was 50 50 on the reviews my question is about reverbnatio is the EPK worht it ...doe a Reverbnation EPK make you look bad to radio or blogs and stuff and where can I get a free EPK that will help me out ... Reverbnation has been a tool of self gratification sure but for just a closet musician its been great but things have changed for me ...now I want to be taken seriously ...my work has gotten much better and so have my tools ...and resorses
