Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 TESTED: Watch Before You Buy!

The OnePlus NORD CE 4 recently arrived with the new Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 chipset, and that made us go, we finally have a capable Snapdragon chipset in the mid range, but is it the best processor under 25K? How does it compare against MediaTek?

We find out in our Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 extreme test where we check for 7 Gen 3 heating, throttling, battery drain, gaming performance and more, and compare it to the Nothing Phone 2a with the MediaTek Dimensity 7200 Pro.

MediaTek's dominance in the mid range segment in the last few years humbled Qualcomm.remember, in the era of 778g, Qualcomm's mid range chips were overpriced so smartphone manufacturers had to cut corners in specs to keep the phone price in check.but finally I am happy that Qualcomm came to their senses now.I would prefer a Snapdragon anyday over mediatek...offcourse if Snapdragon chip is made on tsmc's fabrication.

I would love to see 7200, 7200 pro, 7sgen 2, 7s gen3 and 8300 ultra performance comparison to find most value for money. Yeah synthetics does not reflect real word usage but always be considered as a reference point imo.

unpopular opinion : one should not care about these tests, the things we need to care about is how the phone is performing, how good the photos are, if it is over heating, how it handles gaming etc. an average user won't run these tests ever. a very normal user would not notice anything in their day to day basic usage of their smartphones if the phone runs smoothly. but the phone-makers should always put good chipsets and for reviews we look upto creators like you.

No nonsense talks very neat and clean review compare to other youtubers. Its all rounder phone for a normal user i am using since 1 week everything beast performance. Who cares about NFC and other shits in india.

So a midrange SoC today performs similarly to the 8 series from 4 years ago and... Don't forget that 4yr old 865 still beats it in terms of modem, cellular download speeds to be specific by a healthy margin.

What they should've done is re-introduced the 7+ gen 2 as 7 gen 3, which by the way is 25-50% more powerful on Geekbench.

Like you said, 7 gen 3 should strictly be in sub 25k phones, before offers.

The S20 Fe until 2 years ago was available sub-30k, IP68 rating, UFS 3.1, 2 remaining years of software updates and a 3x telephoto camera! And YouTubers were crying about how it's outdated (2 years ago with all those specs and 2 remaining software updates!)

And now YouTubers are going rabid over how Moto Edge 50 pro is 'value' at 32k!!
