Ever been to Uxmal? This ancient Maya city is only an hour from Merida and it is absolutely incredible. It also gets a fraction of the tourists that Chichen Itza gets, so it's SO much quieter!

I met a backpacker in Playa del Carmen who told me Uxmal was amazing. she mentioned that when she clapped, you can hear an echo that sounds like birds 😮 personally, my favorite pyramid is Coba- that place is phenomenal.

I agree I enjoyed Uxmal a lot more than I enjoyed Chichen Itza
