I just had my baby boy December 6th and breastfeeding was a real struggle in the beginning but I had just determined that no wasn't an option and now we've both overcome it and feel like old pros❤

Im currently breastfeeding my 4th baby!
I breastfed my other 3 as well.
Ill say, the thing that makes breastfeeding easier is remembering that its the best option for nutrition for my baby, my "happiness" isnt priority, my babys longterm health is priority and i can do things to help myself but i WILL be done breastfeeding eventually and in the meantime, i will persevere and stay strong and disiplined for my baby.
And just slowing down with life helps too!! If.that means staying home 100% of the time when we are going through a rough patch then do that.
You have to be flexible for the baby.
It also reduced PPD when we slow down and just go with the flow. 😊
Im not saying this ro be judgey, im saying this to hopefully help put perspective around the whole thing.

This is terrible news, especially for mothers who can’t make enough milk or children who were adopted.
Hopefully there are more milk banks available, so that babies can drink donated breast milk.

Hi,
I have 3 children, 3 and under... yes, I'm a little bit bonkers!
I have breastfed all 3, and it was the biggest challenge I faced. I completely understand why lots of people turn to formula!
Two out of three of mine had tounge ties, and there is very little actual support for feeding where I live in the UK. Formula was pushed at me every day when I was trying to get my first to feed. I was told she was losing too much weight and to just give her a bottle... but I am a very stubborn person and wouldn't give in.
It was at 6 weeks ( of which I spent every other hour feeding my baby for about an hour with a shield ( the only way i could get her to latch) and pumping in-between... no, I did not get any sleep!
I came across tounge Ties online and contacted my health visitor. They said they would refer me. This took another 3 weeks to actually happen and was cancelled at the last minute also on another date.
They checked her and said she doesn't look like she has one, but the evidence said otherwise. I had never fed my baby without a shield and she fed for an hour each time. By a week later she was feeding normally without a shield and for 5-10 minutes a time.
I have friends who were in similar situations who rightfully gave up and went to formula because of the lack of support they received to get breastfeeding established.
My second also had a tounge tie and it was also a battle to get it done with lots of tears but that is another story for another day... this is already too long of a comment for someone who never comments on anything.
I fed my first till she was 3 and im so proud of that but I can't tell you there wasn't times I wanted to throw it in ... especially in those first weeks..
I am proud to be stubborn but did not deserve any of the trauma that I went through due to a lack of support!
Anyway ...
Thank you for listening to my story. I have a lot of them as none of my births or baby journeys was easy.
I think you deserve way more views and subscribers for this and other videos!
Please keep it up!
It's amazing the info you provide!
Much love ❤

Thank you for producing this video, I'm expecting my first baby in April and there's so much being pushed towards me as the best options. This helps to break down some of the marketing and tactics used by the big companies.

I just had my first baby two months ago and I’ve been finding my experience is VERY different from everyone else’s. If anything, my hospital has pushed breastfeeding. I do a mixture of breastfeeding, expressing, and supplementing with HiPP (for my own sanity, and on average 3 oz every other day.) I initially wanted to have a formula on hand in case poop hit the fan in the middle of the night and that was the only way to feed baby. I did SO much research to find a formula I felt good about, or at least okay about. I now see why it is so convoluted and my gut was right.

Wow, this is very informative. Thank you! I am a breast feeding momma and hate how many additives (vegetable oils) there are in formula. It’s nice to see a break down of the facts of it since so many act like it’s just as good as breast milk or better. This video needs more views.

I have 3 kids, pregnant with the 4th. I can tell the difference between breastfeeding and formula fed child. My first child i unfortunately only breastfed for 3 months and didnt have any milk and it broke my heart, i tried pumping but ended up with formula. The struggle began then because my child was constipated constantly and i kept switching formula. My two other kids i breastfed until 10 months and they literally pooped so much that i was overwhelmed😂 and even now my first child who is 8 still gets constipated quicker then the other two kids who are 5 and 3. They have a healthy daily bowel movement and my formula fed child doesnt. It could be other reasons of course but that is one major issue i noticed. I also hated all the ingredients and definitely will be breastfeeding my 4th child. Everyone should get help with the first child when wanting to brestfeed.

Hi! I have 6 month old twins, they will be 6 months in a few days from now.. They were born 3 weeks early, due to some medical complications that I had, they were c-section born.. I had to give them formula.. the way I saw it, there was actually no other way...
No matter how much support the society is giving to mothers who are breastfeeding, and they have given us support.. it wasn't enough, because my babies just couldn't latch or had the strength to suck... one baby was born 2, 5kg, and the other only 2kg.. it was a nightmare, every mother's worst nightmare..
For me at that period, I was just paranoid that they need to be fed and need to gain weight, and I opted for aptamil premature, but I also tried to feed them my milk as much as I possibly could, even if it was only a few drops, literally.. I did stay somewhat persistent in that, so when they eventually got bigger and stronger, they could get more milk out, which made me happier.. now, my breastmilk is like a snack, before the bottle of formula, usually..
this topic is always throwing me into despair, I still feel so guilty for giving formula to my babies, and I probably always will feel this way, but unfortunately that is the reality.. 😔
