When you heat the pipe up and bend it you add stress onto the jointed areas and the pipe wall thickness is greatly reduced therefore it could potentially lead to problems down the line, not a permanent solution.

I think I will spend $1.50 on 2 elbows and have the job done in 2 minutes, instead of spending 2 hours doing what you're doing.

The reason you DON'T do this with plumbing is because you've just altered the smooth flow of water movement with all those ridges and ripples you've now made in the PVC, which will pick up any microbials that pass through the water system. The flow of water will be altered, and your pressure will be severely affected. Eventually, the water being pushed against the outside of the bend from the water sloshing around in the inside of the bend will cause it to break. NEVER rely on these videos. They all SUCK and would NEVER pass code in ANY jurisdiction.

So add about an extra 30 to 40 minutes to a 5 minute job and end up with awful bends to save a couple of pennies? errr no thanks

It’s a good solution WHEN YOU HAVE NO ACCESS TO ELBOW-JOINTS…. Otherwise it’s CHEAPER overall to use the prefabricated parts!

not a long term solution... just an improvisation until you buy those profiles

The thickness of the pipe shown here is not fit to carry water line. I think that's a good idea for installation of electric line on walls. But however bends don't cost you much.. It's better to avoid such tricks.

Elbows makes uniform flow with out restricting the flow, but here it compresses while bending making flow little restricted, we don't know when will become brittle and break due to additional heating.
Using Elbows makes perfect finish.
