Do you tend to agree more with the jury or with the televote? And what is the ideal voting system according to you? Let me know in the comments 👇

The biggest robbery of all years was in 2018 for Cyprus 🇨🇾 Fuego Eleni Foureira! 😢 They deserved their first victory!

Grande Amore televotes literally has more than Heroes, and 4th most televotes in Eurovision, yet still lost to Sweden.

I mean, Sweden is catchy, but you can't just beat the Italians when it comes to their own game by playing an another genre. Also, the cherry on top for disrespect is the Italy 2015 got 3rd Place.

The one song I will never understand why it ranked so high with televoters is Poland 2016. I don’t like it ….😢

Mostly Televote except for 2012 (they don’t have a bad top but my winner of 2012 is Spain which is top 5 with Juries), 2014 (except for Undo I’d rather have it at 4 and I’d even be overrated there), 2015 (the public murdered Ireland in the semi) and 2022 but unlike the other 3 years where the jury was better this year is just terrible for both, both robbed great entries, both saved great entries and both robbed Iceland (except for Juries in the semi), France, Slovenia, San Marino, Latvia and more.

I do tend to agree with the televoters less than juries. I think it is mostly because they just vote based on what is the most memorable song (even though loads of the memorable songs are good too) and not quality like the juries do which I tend to understand. Yes the juries do rob some masterpieces (mostly songs that are either non-English or ethnic) but I also think televoters rob loads of good songs. For example, Sweden a majority of times finishes significantly lower in the televote than in the juries which is unfair because televoters vote based on what catches their attention and generic pop bops do not usually do so. The same could be said about my country (Australia 🇦🇺) because of the complete opposite reason, ballads do not often catch the attention of televoters because they often are just based on vocal talent and not on how memorable the song is, the same can be said with loads of ballads that do bad with the televote but great with the juries. I do not think I would change the voting system as making the results have more weighting towards the televoters would make the results more controversial with the controversy of bloc voting and if it was more favoured towards juries the public would feel they would not have enough of a say so I think 50/05 jury televote is the perfect system, although it still has some holes as no system can be perfect but I think this system is the fairest system Eurovision has ever had and I do not think they should change it any time soon.
Edit:I also forgot to say the juries often rob rock songs that televoters vote for in droves which is unfair as juries are more traditional with their voting methods which usually means they vote for more “boring” rock songs which is super unfair which is another reason why I think the televoters are needed because they vote for songs that stand out. But in some ways it is a bit of a double edged sword because it can mean that the songs viewers vote in droves for could be of varying quality.

There are some amazing songs in here as well. I think when it comes to the top songs (songs that got 1st-5th in the contest), that juries and televote tend to agree quite a bit. But still, I agree with the juries more because I often notice that televote votes mostly for the most entertaining or crazy act, and that other stuff like melody, vocals etc doesn't matter that much to them (I don't want to stereotype televoters, but in general it's like this). Which can be good sometimes as well (for example, I LOVE the UK being 5th in 2011), but I still feel like juries reward the overall package as well. Although the one thing I like about televote, is that overall, they tend to place ethnic music higher and that is also a plus for me. Overall it's a good mixture, but I would rather have like 60/40 power for juries because I think televoters have a bit too much power

Personally for me 3/4 to televote is better and makes more sense. Problem with jury voting is sometimes it feels like they try to put down acts that are quite clear winners, like they tried to drown Maneskin (I think this was one of best examples), Keiino or even Duncan Lawrence, and I still can't believe Il volo was so robbed by juries (love Mans and don't disagree with win just Italy was robbed :( ). So I don't like because very often jury voting feels more "political" in sense of making more intrigue to the show and voting part

I tend to agree with the juries more than the televote.
I feel televoters are easier influenced by politics and/or by the artists appearence and sexual orientation or by the scene show.
I always prefer voice over looks, and artist performance over scene show, something I feel like the jury do better. And while it is important to include everyone in competitions like this, I don´t feel I care enough about the sexual orientation or pronouns to let that overarch the performance itself. Love is Love and music is different for everyone. But this is a competition and all competition needs rules. The juries follow them when ranking songs while the public does not. I think the 50/50 split is perfect to make sure that whoever wins will be of high quality (whether it is the act you prefer or not).
Although I do agree on the need of more rock people in the juries. The pop people clearly can´t really judge the quality of the rock songs.

2010 - I'm mostly team jury here but maNga are awesome and I'll forgive not being impressed with their other choices just to give them their due. Satellite is ok but both sets of voters second choices were better but especially maNga.

2011 - thank you televoters - love from the UK it would be 11 years before we'd do this well again and they dared to call Blue a flop back home! Justice for Blue! The rest of the choices are a nope and I know it's not a popular opinion but I hate bloody Sweden. Sorry not very patrotic since they kinda nerfed my own fair country but I'm team jury here - Italy first, Denmark top five and Bosnia just outside it. Although I do like Greece much more than the boring ass songs the juries had in fourth and fifth if memory serves.

2012 - ok like Turkiye, Serbia (which did well in both votes), ah the grannies - I don't care they're cute,

2013 - what if we all stopped voting for sickly hypocritical pablem like this - oh damn we can't anymore because Russia didn't practice what it preached and got itself banned - what a shame 😜😆 - that was sarcasm - I hate that song on so many levels it's untrue - this folks is why we have juries to check the popularity of tripe like this. Greece - this is why we have televoters. Azerbaijan - a plague on both your houses, Ukraine - not keen on this, Denmark - ok you made the right decision.

2014 - Poland - bit of a guilty pleasure, Sweden - not my bag, Armenia - he's a prick but he deserved this, Netherlands and Austria - justice,

2015 - all good choices except Russia - ugh hypocritical pablem from a two faced saccrine sweetie, both then the juries made the same mistake too. Both made good choices - mostly from a excellent field but I'm team jury as I slightly prefer Sweden but it's a tough one - love Sweden, love Italy, love Australia, love Belgium, love Norway, love Estonia - quite like Latvia, Russia can go away.

2016 - I think this is a case of the same except I can't remember who the juries had except for Dani on top (she sort of looks a bit like a Christmas tree fairy in that frock) Jamala in second and obviously no Michael and Sergey in fifth . I prefer Dani's song to Sergey's (well technically Philipp's but whatever) so team jury for me but both made some good choices especially Poli - love Poli. I'm a bit on the fence about Michael.

2017 - yup team televote here.

2018 - ditto - like all of these - missing Austria but def not Sweden.

2019 - yup team televote - not massively keen on Russia but respect North Macedonia but love Norway.

2021 - yup team televote here but missing Switzerland a bit.

2022 - it's funny the song I like the least is the one both votes had in common in the middle. I think both votes picked good songs apart from that one but I'm still happy Spain got a good result.
