Medical billing, no information on prices up front and the worst thing is surprise facility fees.

My therapist charges about $200/hour. My "non-profit" hospital charges me $300/hour just to be in the building for that same visit. The nurses at the hospital are protesting that they only got a 1% raise this year. So who is getting paid with this insurance fraud?! Is it the CEO of my hospital? Is his $4 Million dollar annual salary coming out of these $300/hour "Facility Charges"?

I'm not sure the government should be in charge of controlling this. If the pendulum swings too far one way, the business who advertises no "drip fees" will get the business.
