Oh man I had to come back to this after watching the new doctor strange

!! SPOILERS !!
YOU'VE BEEN WARNED

so the main plot element, or really, McGuffin of the film is this girl who is supposed to be "America Sanchez" the gay Latino version of captain America.
And man do they make it obvious that the message is there with her character design and the little bit of back story they give her. He design isn't terrible but they gave her the fucking gay/trans pride flag, the one with the stripes and the triangle on the side, they gave her that as a fucking pin on her jacket that is there the entire film, and I swear with some of the camera angles, it's almost front and center sometimes, so you can not miss it if you tried. It just drags your eyes towards it. And then about a third or so into the film, they're sent into a different universe and at one point while there, they use this machine that show's you you're old memories, first Dr Strange uses it and it shows him on a date with that one chick he was in love with. Then Sanchez uses it and it shows her a memory of herself as a kid with her two gay moms. There was an audible groan in the theater and I could feel the people there Rolling their eyes.
I swear there can't be a single modern film set in modern times that doesn't have to shove GAY in everyone's face. Everyone is tired of it, even gays are tired of it
