I totally agree about the stickers on the windshields! That’s false advertising and LEGO often does that with their renders. I’m glad you called them out cause they either need to fix their quality or stop advertising it wrong on boxes!!!

Lego has seen everyone saying sets are too expensive and people should wait for sales. Now they simply preload the price and when you buy it on sale they still get what they want. If you don't wait, bonus for them.

Here’s a thought, instead of Lego deceiving everyone (yet again what a surprise…) with the windscreen pieces, they could just actually print the windscreen pieces…

12:08 or option C... PRINT THE WINDSCREENS!!! 😅 we know they can do it. it's not too complex of a shape. they printed the half-sphere windscreens for the gunship bubble turrets, and have done so since 2002!!!

Despite the size, which I can get behind because it allows more space and matches with the newer scales of sets, I am glad for the new function that opens the S-foils without the old turner! I'm actually excited to combine the best elements of the 2010 and 2025 ARCs.

As a collector, I like the smaller scale, not only are the new sets more detailed for display, but take less space too. As for this set, my only complaint is the size of the cannons, those cannons should be at least twice the size, they're humungous, but nothing I can't mod.

I actually don’t hate getting smaller models. From a collectors standpoint it allows for more space to be saved while displaying sets and it allows for a sturdier build since everything is so much more compact

I’m fine with starships being smaller. Until 2020, starships were getting ridiculously oversized. They were costing $80-$90 and if they kept that same size this set would probably be at least $100. This still feels scale accurate and semi-affordable.

Personally $70 might be a tad bit over budget but ohhh man…those clone pilots are wonderful

Quick correction @2:38; David the 8088 ARC-170 in 2010 retailed for $60.00 USD
Adjusted for inflation, that $60.00 comes out to approx. $86-87 USB today
So basically at $70.00USD we technically are getting a set for cheaper that contains 100+ more pieces. Still it's not just a LEGO thing; $70 just feels like a lot no matter what you're buying, ie. like video games these days.
Everyone will have their own opinions on the proportions/downscaling and that's fine, but like you said in this review, this ARC-170 is also far more robust so imo overall, this set is a win!

I love what LEGO has started doing with downscaling ships some time ago. I don't need a massive ship to love it. I'd rather have a more finished and detailed model, and this ARC-170 seems like another great example of that.

I like the smaller scale starfighters. Downsized Imperial shuttles? No. But the smaller starfighters are actually really nice IMO.

i think you talked 1 really good point with down scale - when making MOC, it's easier to meet the ratio. I dont really need a huge MOC to utilize these ships!
and Storage!! save on space!!
