Frosties 2018 Race 7 :- Over and Out

Race 7 of the 2018 Frosties Regatta was over before it started for the crew on Go To Red.

With light winds on Strangford lough and a heavily biased pin end starting line after there was a big shift in the breeze during the starting sequence Go To Red (Mumm 36 racing yacht) ran into issues after miss judging their time on distance run towards the pin end of the start line.

This miscalculation resulted in them being on course side (over the starting line) when the starting gun went.

After recrossing the line to restart the race there was little change to catch up with the sprint series format. Once again proving how important it is to start any yacht race well.

With seven races of the Frosties over it was all still to play for with only a couple of points separating the top 3 yachts in the overall.
