FIRESTORM - Planetside 2 Cinematic

This is my entry for a big contest hosted by the Planetside Project.

Ngl, The quality of the footage is not the best (I had to clean up my harddrive at one point :()
But I'm extremely happy with the shots themselves- There's just so much chaos, weird and cool stuff going on that are - even on events - very hard to find and capture.

The 3d part that tells the Oppenheimer Type Story is inspired by @WorldsOfWalsh.
The opener is straight out of blender (evee) and the end is UE5.
btw. there is a big lore easteregg :D

I also wrote a voice over, that I had to cut due to the deadline:

"The latest tests have yielded success beyond measure.
Its a bridge between ancient Vanu technology and our very physiology,
Perhaps this breakthrough will be the gateway to eternal life, a chance for immortality.
But, in the wrong hands, it could spark a firestorm of eternal conflict,
Unleashing chaos and devastation that we may never be able to contain.

What we have found could safe many lifes,
but it could also fill them with suffering.
Is it worth the risk?
Time will tell.

I thought to myself about this part of your voiceover text : "but it could also fill them with suffering."
It maybe could indicate that after so many times having to be revived by force (killed over and over again) it could cause a critical injury to the individual mind and shatter it due long times of suffering through the casualties of this War that has been going for generations.
That gives a really deep background on how may cause strange effects upon long-term serving soldiers!

A surprise to be sure, but a welcome one!
Someday, it would be nice to see some version of the screenplay I initially wrote for you, get the cinematic treatment. ;)
Either way, it's an absolute delight to be regarded as a source of inspiration for this epic piece. :D
