Nikon D5100 Unboxing | (Also) How I Got It For Free
Показать описание
Hello,
Today I am going to be unboxing the Nikon D5100 with it's 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 VR Kit Lens. Also, I am going to be telling you how I got this camera for free. So, the reason I was able to walk out of Best Buy without having to pay for this camera is because when I bought my Nikon D5000 I bought Best Buy's warranty. It was $150 on top of the MSRP of the camera. Really not a bad deal for what you get. Recently, the camera was dropped on the lens and since the 18-55mm has a plastic lens mount all of the shock of the fall was absorbed by the lens and not the body.
So only the lens mount broke and nothing else. Nothing Best Buy I took the lens in with the camera because I figured they would take both (and they did). In a couple of weeks I get a phone call saying the repairs would be to "exponential" and it would be cheaper to just replace the camera with the newer model of it's kind, which would be the Nikon D5100. In a whole that was how I got the Nikon D5100 without having to pay a dim. Pretty cool, huh? I think so.
About the camera, I really, really like the camera. It's a huge upgrade from the D5000 in terms of performance and general usability. The D5100 has MUCH better ISO performance, mic input, revamped swivel screen, higher megapixel, and a whole other slew of cool features.
Thank you,
