Barcia vs Malcolm Stewart crash AMA Supercross 2014 Daytona

Barcia's problem is that he can't make a pass without bouncing off the rider he's passing. He wasn't close enough for that pass without hitting Stewart's front wheel, and he knew it. Just didn't go as planned. Dude needs to chill out and try passing a little cleaner. These guys aren't scared of him like the kids in the 250 class were. He should study up on Villopoto's passing style, which is still aggressive, but doesn't take anyone out.

That was kinda a dick move by Barcia but in the end it's not like he pulled an Alessi there (vs Tickle)... Malcolm could be pissed but shoving him was dumb and what he did next was even worse. I'm a fan of both riders, the whole situation is just kinda lame.

the good news is both are young and have years to swap bars together.  love the aggression - just glad i'm not in the way.

The issue isn't If Barcia's pass was too aggressive (which it was not), the issue is riders acting professionally for both the sponsors and supercross as a whole. Pushing Barcia then launching his bike at him is completely uncalled for and childish. I applaud supercross for taking action against Malcolm, although in my opinion it was not strong enough action. He has no place in supercross with his attitude problems.

i am on barcia's side on this one... remember when malcolm took out barcia on "accident" in the motocross series?

don't think Stewart knew Barcia was there until it was too late, but we could debate that.  However: 1.  Saying "clean block pass" when referring to Barcia is nearly an oxymoron.  2.  Barcia does nothing but treat his bike like a weapon.  He has issues with riders ALL the time, just look at what he did to Roczen a few weeks back.  I think it is good to see someone finally check him.  He runs people off the track and hits them all the time; no way you can say that he doesn't use his bike as a weapon.  Stewart's hair has nothing to do with anything.

yup. Watched 10 times. Barcia went for a REALLY well placed block pass. Done that move a thousand times at perris raceway and it's just unavoidable when your lines end up coming together like that. It's racing. I'm not a Barcia fan in fact I prefer Malcolm much more, but this was just a normal block pass gone wrong with more drama behind it because malcolm got pissed and pushed justin. happened again at utah 2013...what're you gonna do?

That was a clean pass. Just washed out the front. If MS checked up he would have got 5th. I'm not sure MS expected JB to come in on that lower line so fast. Both riders are fast. This is racing. MS should control his temper. Shit happens....

Barcia's front end washed out on a clean block pass.  Mistake, but Stewart should have checked up, not cut low and right into him.  He did that on purpose.  And then what comes next is an embarrassment to the sport.  Poor sportsmanship on the part of Stewart.

Anyone remember when Malcome took out Bogle?... Clean pass my Barcia. Aggressive, but clean. He just washed out the front and Malcome should have stayed high and checked up in the corner.

Yeah it's Barcia's fault, but does that make him a terrible person like so many of you seem to think? He was being aggressive, and it went wrong. That happens all the time. I seem to remember Stewart doing a very similar thing to Barcia last year in motocross, so it can go both ways. Calm down everyone!

I dont even see this as being Barcias fault. Barcia did a block pass on Malcom and Malcom cut low to hard on purpose. Watch his body language. Malcom thinks hes a  bad*** and we all know hes a joke like the rest of his family. EVERY one block passes it no big deal thats just racing. The fact the Malcom threw a fit over it was ridicules. AMA Needs to take action that was uncalled for and wrong.

I really like Barcia but Barcia did what was expected of him and i think that Malcom just lost it cause he was having a good race.  when you race and someone does some block pass that goes wrong then you see red and its normal with the adrenaline and the excitement that Malcom reacted that way, many of us would do the same but it would be better that he does not repeat this move cause its the second time Malcom shoves i guy on the race track this year.

It would have been a clean pass if barcias front tire hadn't crossruttd n washd.. big deal, shit happens in racing. AND Malcolm actions on the other hand, not so clean.. barcia wasn't being dirty enough to deserve
