we drove 700 miles for new suspension

This week, my mom and I drove 700 miles down the west coast to get new heavy-duty suspension put on the truck! I can't wait to get home and put the camper back on with the increased payload - hello to a better ride and gas mileage 👏🏼

Bless your parents….. cherish every moment with them. My dad has been passed for many years, and sadly, my mum has advanced dementia, and no longer recognises me. Every time I visit her, I always say, I would give anything for just one more chat with her. I love the result of the new leaf springs. Stay safe kiddo!!🌞

The individual leaves in leaf springs slide against each other as they deflect. Fine when new, but as they get old and dirty and rusty, the ride becomes graunchy and deteriorated. What we used to do, back in the day, was to slather them in grease and wrap them in plastic sheeting held on with zip ties. This keeps them in as-new operating condition for a lot longer than if they were exposed to the elements.
