Unfortunately they had to sue him in Criminal Court first. Now they can take him to Civil Court. They can bring a civil action against him for stallking. This actions allows them to sue him for damages that he may have caused emotional harm that they maybe entitled to them and they also can sue him for exemplary damages and legal fees as well. Plus they can file for a restraining order against him in Civil Court. And when he violates that order...(and you know he will ) then they can take him back to Criminal Court and have him arrested and go to jail. Unfortunately this is our legal system that we're dealing with. The victims have to go through tons of legal hoops in order to get Justice for themselves.

That’s a totally inadequate sentence. The impact such an act of intrusion must have on the victim is immeasurable. How can anyone feel safe in their own home after this.

I think the judge was wholly inappropriate to make such a lenient sentence.
