Just got mine for $68 last night and tried it today. Lights and blazes. Can't wait to use it.

Ry, for an even cheaper alternative, Harbor Freight has a flame thrower for around $40. It's larger and hooks up to a standard propane tank. When turned up on full, the flames are really impressive and the neighbors come running because it sounds like a jet taking off. Every man should have a flame thrower. LOL

Perfect timing. I've been wanting a product like this for some time, and now I have on on the way!

Thanks for the review. I've been experimenting with sous vide for the past couple of months. I use my charcoal chimney to sear my steaks and pork chops. I'll need to try this out, as it looks to be ultra convenient.

Fantastic review Ry. We will be doing something similar soon in a video. Great gift for the holiday.

I like that it stands on its own. I have the Su-V Gun and it's great, but you need to use the included stand to keep it upright.

Good video. I have one of these and a big green egg. I found that I have to tilt at too steep of an angle to light the BGE and I end up with liquid propane shooting out. However, its great for searing things like steaks after cooking them in sous-vide. I broke down and bought the grill blazer to light the BGE. Its a bit steep in price but the grill blazer has better safety features.

Great review. It's nice that it stands on its own👍 Flame throwers are not only handy, they are just plain fun to use too😊

I think I'd prefer an on/off trigger for safety. What if you tripped while the flame was on?

Ry, that last statement you made; "It's kinda fun to have a flame thrower" pretty much sums up the video for myself and most other men.🤣

Could you do a demonstration video of you using this bad boy to sear different kinds of meat?

I’ve been thinking about buying a torch, and I think you just sold me on this one. Thanks, Ry!

Maybe I'm cheap, but I just tear off the bag. I rip whatever excess paper at the top of the charcoal bag, and use that to start my coals. Just ball it up, put it under my chimney, and light it. Then go prep my meat and by the time I'm done trimming and seasoning, those coals are ready to go. Can't see myself spending $60 on something to start a fire.... That's just me.... Love your vids though man. Been watching for years. For some reason, my YouTube decided to stop following you. Idk... Thought you were taking a break or something...

If it had a trigger then I probably would buy it. Although, I feel like $50 is a fair price, considering all of the ones on Amazon for that price.
