Interesting facts about our Yazidis friends.

The Yezidi and Hindu cultures share many similarities, including:

*Reincarnation :* Both cultures believe in the concept of life after death and the transmigration of souls.

*Highest deity :* The highest deity in both cultures is a transcendental being who creates a son through an emanation of energy or light. For Hindus, this is Brahman or Shiva and his son Murugan-Karttikeya. For Yezidis, this is their Supreme Being and his son Tawsi Melek.

*Anointment :* Both cultures anoint themselves in the region between the eyebrows, also known as the "Third Eye".

*Peacock Angel :* The Yezidis worship Melek Tawwus, or the Peacock Angel. The Peacock Angel is associated with snakes, and snakes are often found at the entrances to its temples.
