The Wire Fox Terrier is the dog for me!!! I had one for 11 years and I loved him dearly. He wasn’t destructive, didn’t dig up gardens, was sensitive smart & kept me fit….I lost him to lung cancer ( no I don’t smoke & no one in the family does) and I miss him badly. I loved grooming his coat & he was so proud of himself when he was looking oh so handsome with his nicely trimmed beard & fluffy white legs.
His name was Major.

There is no such thing as the best dog. It's the dog or cat that you have, the one you have and LOVE and it LOVES

My rottie was free. My bio dad (in a rare moment of kindness, not a kind man at all). My stepfathers have done more for me in terms of life than my bio dad, long story. His rare moment of kindness was seeing this stray Rottweiler that kept hanging out near a car part yard bio dad would frequent for tools for his car repair business. Noone wanted it and everyone at the part yard was mean to it. Bio dad saw something in him, and one day he said you're coming with me. That day, I was picked up at my mom and dad's transfer spot and went to his house and got greeted by the most gigantic dog I've seen. It immediately took to me. I named him Rocky. Bio dad was friends with a veterinarian and was comped vet bills so long as the vet's cars were billed for parts only. Rocky was with me for about 9 years of my life. He adored me and it was the only thing good about seeing my bio dad. Being able to bring him walking in our woods area without a leash. That dog was glued to my side. If I was lucky enough to find a safe space to cry there, Rocky would lick my tears until I was laughing. What a beautiful canine companion. I believe in the love of a Rottweiler. A huge bonus; his tail and ears were au naturale. Just the way the breed was intended. 😍💯. To Rocky. You are missed and loved.

I showed and bred Samoyeds in the 1970s/80s. $14, 000 for one is a complete lie. I've checked current prices for a quality pup, and I haven't seen anything over $2200. 40 yrs ago, our pups went from $400-$700. Samoyeds don't "shed." They blow their undercoat, usually in the Spring/Summer. You comb it out. If you know someone who spins wool into yarn, a Samoyed's hair can be spun and used for sweaters, mittens, scarves, etc. It'd be great if you actually researched the breeds you're talking about.

People who try to make the dog look tough by putting chains on it, are insecure idiots! No dog lover does that, they don't need to fill what's missing in their personality. Peace

Tiebetan Terrier. smartest dog I ever had Tell her once and that was all. You need to treat things as a game and you never in raising her treat her badly as her goal in life is to please you. She lived 16 years 4 months. She has been gone 2 years and I still cry when I think how much I miss her

I got a Rottweiler and she’s perfect. She was $1000 and she’s massive. Huge head, she’s featured on my channel a lot. She’s absolutely girls best friend. In no way will you pay $9k for a Rottweiler, unless you’re going to a breeder who shows champions. Due to irresponsible humans, rescue centers for Rottweilers have a plentiful selection. My baby girl is 97lbs, of solid muscle. But she’s loyal, and ferociously protective over me and the kids. Shit, she even guards my mother. You absolutely must socialize these dogs, and train them as soon as possible. The only reason why I didn’t adopt, the lady who bred these pups is used to hitting hers. So I took my dog out of that situation. That could turn deadly. In no way do you hit/ or abuse a dog like these. Fear aggression is by far, the hardest to fix. That’s one thing you don’t want to run into, a fearful Rottweiler with a bite force of over 700lbs per square inch. Oh, and The footage of the dogo Argentino infuriated me. Who Tf puts a massive chain around their furbaby like that?!! That tells me those dogs were bred for nothing but making hella MONEY.

Edit: lemme correct myself…in NO way do you hit/abuse ANY helpless animal!!!

I took care of a Saluki when friends I'd mine would be away. He was as much my dog as theirs. Ari Ben Farouk is greatly missed, they are very special dogs!

Our darling rottie was the sweetest girl you could meet, she only had health issues when she got older, that lasted 18 months, she died at 13 years. She was my son's soul mate, they were inseparable.

Throughout my life I have always had a Newfoundland Dog at my side. Their primary function was life saving in the frigid waters of the north Atlanic. The disposition of the dog is amazing. They are very loyal, and gentle. We used to take our Newfs to the lake when we went swimming. We had children and had no worries with taking them swimming, my dog Akaluk would not allow the children to go in the water he was a great baby sitter. He was the biggest newf I ever had, weighing in at 225lbs he was 6' nose to withers. The sad part of a dog that big( he could pick up a fully inflated basketball in his mouth) is that they are relatively short lived, most of them have life spans of 10 to 12 years. I was always a sad day when one of them passed

Our dear Saluki came to us as a gift from a friend who was a hound breeder. We had spent many years as the owners of the breeder's old show Whippet after his show career and breeding career were finished. The Saluki arrived because the breeder had two lovely young dogs who would need to be shown in the same classes, at the same dog shows, at the same time. The breeder knew that we would give one of these beautiful dogs a great home and would take the dog to dog shows. The breeder asked me to choose one of the lovely two female pups in a kennel. When I looked at the two pretty puppies, I knew immediately which one I wanted to take home and she graced our home and our lives for the next twelve years! She became a Champion show dog in Canada and the USA and won many awards - but more important than that, she was our family's dearest friend and companion and we have never forgotten the joy she brought to our lives!

I have a Coton de Tulear. They’re fairly new to the AKC kennel club also. I was disappointed that that bread was not mentioned. They have very little shedding and are an affectionate companion.

One of the dogs we used to own was a Norwegian Elkhound. They can cost upwards of $6000, and he was an amazing pet
