I love how almost every VR game trailer still feels the need to show the player putting on and taking off the headset IRL. Reminds me of those old 90's ads where they pick up the controller and then get sucked inside the TV 😂

I think I am right in saying I believe these are going to be a semi-linear simulation of every assassin in the bloodline with no real story threading them together. Hopefully the mechanics are engaging and there is enough variety for this to avoid feeling arcade-y like every other VR title has issues escaping.

It's weird that after 7 years, publishers still screw up their VR ads. Pre-rendered garbage like this can't be representative of gameplay and it sets expectations that can't possibly be met.

A good VR game lives or dies based on how it's played so show people playing it, Valve had this figured out day one by filming people playing actual VR games with a positionally tracked camera, integrating that footage with real-time output from an in-game camera set to the same perspective. No actors waving their arms around in a way that's completely disconnected from the clearly hand-animated prerender and perhaps not as 'pretty' as a result, but it is *honest* and if you really have your control systems figured out, being able to visually show how it works provides a true reason to become excited about the game. No one with any clue is expecting a graphical showcase here, the one reason to be interested in the game is the thing they aren't showing.

This could literally be the best Vr game if they make it right. If those physics can match or beat Bonelabs, and try not to be TO linear with gameplay(please don't just be another linear stealth vr game) then it could be amazing!
