Laharl vs Neptune (Disgaea vs Hyperdimension Neptunia) Death Battle Fan Made Trailer
Показать описание
If you ask me how many fictional kingdoms I have seen, I would say many, I have noticed that their leaders are serious, powerful and intimidating!
...Although there are a few exceptions, being the opposite, in being lazy and immature, although it's not a bad thing, they still have a great responsibility and hold themselves better in their role as rulers, using swords in their combats and taking an especially destructive course and this mashup proves it- Wait... Mashups..!? Neptune! You spelled it wrong, it's Matchups! Anyway..

*Laharl and Neptune are the short-statured main characters of two JRPG franchises with a shared penchant for shattering the fourth wall and parodying all sorts of anime, RPG, and general gaming tropes.
*As the Overlord of the Netherworld and the CPU of Planeptune, the two are responsible for ruling over their own nations, both of which actually attain all their power from the fear of humans and the general belief of the people in the form of Fear Energy and Shares respectively.
*Much to the dismay of their peers, however, our heroes here are two of the laziest, most immature immortals imaginable, which has caused all sorts of trouble for their worlds on numerous occasions.
*Consequently, they've also had to deal with a number of naysayers over the years who questioned whether they were fit to rule or not.
*That said, they're far more effective at their jobs and care more for their friends than they let on. They're perfectly capable of getting serious and will fight with everything they have to protect those they care about when the fate of the world is on the line.
(Although both have since been pushed out of focus and/or lost their main protagonist status in several of their franchise's subsequent sequels and spinoffs, especially in Laharl's case, which they were understandably peeved over. Some of their later appearances have subjected them to varying degrees of flanderization as well, and their attempts to regain their main character positions have varied in successfulness.)
*Both also have younger sisters who come off as more mature than their older siblings at times, yet still look up to them in spite of their faults.
*Like many archetypal JRPG protagonists, both prefer using swords in battle, but their special attacks (especially some of their later ones) really up the ante in terms of wackiness and sheer destructive power, with such examples as Laharl riding on top of giant meteors,Neptune turning herself into a fighter jet, and both combatants' shared ability to slice through the very fabric of their dimensions.
*On a more humorous note, Laharl is known to have a crippling fear of busty women... which is the exact form Neptune takes whenever she transforms into the scantily clad Purple Heart.
*And although the two series have never officially crossed over, they do share a common link in the form of Nisa, a mascot of sorts for Disgaea's home company Nippon Ichi Software, who's made appearances in both franchises before their respective companies cut ties with one another.
