How to start business as an electrician and join NAPIT - NICEIC

For those looking to start up in business as electricians!

I have put this little video together to help those moving into working for themselves.

Great video, thinking of coming back to the trade after many years away and hoping to do domestic small works to start with, fault finding and minor works etc, whilst I am not planning to do full rewires or Consumer Board changes (well not initially) I am sure I might get asked to install a new circuit. So I contacted NAPIT and NICEIC for the CPS scheme and found NAPIT to be the better option for domestic at least. One of the stumbling blocks will be having work that that can be inspected for the assessment, I know you mentioned doing work for friends and family etc but I might have to do some free work or rather just charge part of the building control fee with a loss and go through building control for a couple of jobs.

I am a Gold Card Electrician and I want to be registered with Napit I have my eal inspection and testing certificate 18th Ed and so on. The thing is that I'm working on big sites mainly doing 1st and 2nd fix price work. What are the steps that I need to follow? Mainly on the part of documentation and showing my Installations?
Who can guide me on that part?
Any info is appreciated...
