Update: James Rodriguez is now set to sign for Liga MX side Club Leon! In my opinion a suitable destination for James to succeed. I thought MLS would've been a great environment but Mexico is another division that I think he'll fair much better in.

Why MLS tho… I think Italy would be perfect for him- slow paced, lots of walking, and always appreciates saucy 10s (Dybala for one)

He was really good but it’s so sad to see his career ending like this, he was an amazing talent back then

James just landed a deal with Leon welcome to Mexico my friend

MLS is a good idea, fans in North Americas would love to see him play. It’s very apt, since the MLS just showcases yesterday’s talent

I agree. Im Colombian and huge James fan and hope he goes somewhere where he can always be a starter. Not too long ago he was at Everton under Ancelotti and he was killing it!

MLS sounds like an interesting option. With the boat load of Colombian fan you got here you could create a small stir

I am so happy that he went to León since I live there and the past 2 games has been great with him scoring 1 goal and 1 assist ❤

This guy would’ve been top 10 in the world if he had been born 15 years earlier. They literally don’t make players like him anymore, he’s a pure 10. Can’t run or defend.

A colombian 10 playing his last few years in MLS. Just like Valderrama before him. That would make a lot of sense

Commercially this would obviously never happen, but I’d love to see him in the Eredivisie too. Top 5 leagues are probably too much indeed, but I am genuinely curious how he’d do against the Dutch top 5. His playing style could be rather freshening to the league and I’d love to see him play live lol

What about a comeback to FC Porto? If he could come with a lower salary he might be an interesting addition to the team

MLS is a great suggestion. There was no way he was beating out Isi at Rayo, not sure who thought that move would work!

It's actually so sad to see his downfall I still remember that goal at the 2014 world cup....

I would imagine reaching such heights in a career can really affect your mentality. Sustaining it is more likely not easy.
