Plays like that quick whistle should be reviewable. Everyone saw that it was a good goal, so dont see the point in staying with the call on the ice when its the wrong call.

binnington giving up 5 goals (including the one that was disallowed due to premature whistle) on like 21 shots doesn't help his team canada justification compared to skinner allowing 2 on 31

This is in response to everyone saying binner sucks. I’m a lifelong blues fan so I’ve watched every game for 21 years and within the last few seasons it has sucked. One thing has remained the same most nights and that’s awful, AWFUL defense. Tonight it showed again as we have a great tip from someone left wide open in front of the net, a horrible giveaway to the best player in the NHL, and another back door tap in. There are two goals I actually blame binnington for and one of them got called back. If those other goals had better defensive choices on them then it’s a tied game at the end of the 3rd. Both blues goalies get this same treatment and neither deserve it as both Hofer and Binner are incredible. Put either behind a solid defense and they will be great nhl goalies but they can’t be miracle workers every night.

I’m not going to dump on Broberg but he gave the puck up 6 times! Perhaps he was trying too hard, the knock on him in Edmonton was his lack of physical play and being knocked off the puck. Playing young D takes patience and time and as Bouchard can attest to and there’s going to be mistakes. Holloway looked good at times now considering the contracts they both sighed is there enough value in return?
