You overlooked the Monarchy of Hawaii, the Independent Nation of Native Alaskans, and the State Constitutionally Recognized Nation of Texas.

Mike, I love you, but
1. Isle of Mann is still part of the U.K.
2. Barotseland likely won't reach independence
3. Abkhazia isn't recognized by the majority UN, the main decider of a country
4. The NKR is in the same situation as Abkhazia
5. Baluchistan is in the same boat as Barotseland
6. Lakota is a funny situation do to it's technical independence because of the treaty, but still in putting it with the NKR and Abkhazia

You are hands down my favorite YouTuber. You manage to tackle mysterious and sci-fi topics in such a way that it can't be mocked. You display genuine curiosity and carry with you the mindset of always willing to learn and ask the odd questions in such an effective way. Thanks for being awesome.

Hey mike,
Just to correct you, no offense though. A Pakistani here. Baluchistan was never an independent country. In undivided India, also popularly know as the subcontinent, it was a province. It has always been a province. On the partition of the subcontinent, into India and Pakistan, Baluchistan being a muslim majority territory was included in Pakistan. A part of Baluchistan to date is also incorporated into Iran. People from that region identify as Baluchi Iranians. Bigger part is in Pakistan. The Baluchi tribes were allotted land and power on partition of the subcontinent. To this day the members of these families hold strong positions in the government and are not anti pakistan. The fight for independant baluchistan started much after the partition, and still goes on in the form of a civil war/ proxy war of enemy nations. Their terrorist attacks have costed the lives of peaceful civilians and our armed forces.
But please, Bluchistan was never an independant country. Its borders werent obscure. Its inclusion into Pakistan on the basis of muslim majority was done with the consent of the powerful tribal families.

If you are going to call Lakota a separate nation, then you might as well include all of the Native nations that exist in the Americans still.

It's not "Sea Rise". It's volcanic dome settling. The Atoll is a volcano. As the dome collapses, the Atoll sinks. But for those not settling, we've got plenty of time to visit them due to the fact that the seas aren't rising.

A lot of these 'country's' are fighting for their independence I wouldn't be surprised if he mentioned transnistria

Ohhh, there is so much more to this "Lakota Treaty". Besides this treaty not being completely enforced; there are almost countless one that were just totally cast aside and forgotten.

...I knew of all of these. I can't be the only one.

Fun fact, "Sioux" is not a word in the Lakotah language, it was a derogatory term used by a rival nation for the Lakotah people that white settlers adopted before actually meeting the Lakotah. Dances with Wolves furthers this stereotype but watch and notice when the natives speak about their people they never say "sioux" they say "Lakotah" while the white guy says "sioux" (washichu lol)

My adoptive bloodline is from the Isle of Mann. The Christian bloodline, not the religion, even took over a castle for like 100 years on the Isle called Miltown Castle. Whenever my bloodline visits the castle we are treated like royalty! It's really cool! I'm going to visit in a few years.

Another one that wasn't mentioned- Slovenia - a lot of people tend to forget about us since we are super small country (2 mio people only)- we are independent country of EU and you wouldn't believe how many people say that we are either part of Russia either part of USA when in fact neither of those is true.
