Fun fact! Scientists have been working very hard to make a vaccine for Ebola! While Ebola is very rare, and outbreaks are really uncommon, there's still a chance you can catch it! I'm pretty sure the vaccine was made last year. Google says, "Two licensed vaccines are currently available against Orthoebolavirus zairense." You can dig deeper of course, but that's a fun little fact <3

Most horrifying story I ever heard was about a gentleman who didn't realize he had contracted it until halfway through his flight. He locked himself in the airplane bathroom, and when they found him, he had thrown up chunks of his intestine and was covered in his own blood. He was flying from Southern Africa to Australia, and never made it. They still don't know where he contracted it or how. It's believed he came into contact with feces from a wild animal. But it's all speculation. Unfortunately, the flight attendant who found him died, not too long after. Everybody else who came in contact with him, was quarantined and given treatment. 😢

Im glad you make these accurate depictions like this, growing up I was bullied and they yold the entire school i had ebola I was bullied before this and in abusive home where we were poor and didnt have alot of nutrition and I naturally am really pale so pale you could see my vains from my chest down my arms growing up i wasnt sick I just have something called blue vains (its a extra set of vains that makes your vains more visible under the skin) they took this as me having ebola and so refused to come near me would go running anytime i tried to get close to them would say stuff like the ilness should go ahead and take me ect ect

this is actually really cool!! learning how ebola develops with the use of makeup, the entire concept is amazing and very educational! definitely deserves more likes than this.

Read a book called The Hot Zone for my freshmen year. It was based off of true events that happened during that slight outbreak of ebola. It was very interesting and I would definitely recommend giving it a read sometime :)

This series makes me realise what all those people had to go through who died in sickness like these. It makes me feel really bad how young people had to die in such pain during the 15'th century and other times (still) too.

edit: ok, i did my research. i was referring to the original outbreak in the 70s, which i now know wasn’t as bad as the recent one. i remember seeing this on the news with my parents while i was still a tween. now i understand when exactly this was and am just grateful i was in the african areas where the outbreak was the worst. sorry to start a war in the comments.
