Wow that was amazing the locomotives were stunning especially the one built by the young gentleman billy such craftsmanship I go on holiday to hemsby in Norfolk to a bungalow site and they have the same tracks and on a Tuesday and Thursday and I think Sunday the gentlemen who own the narrow gauge locos are on site and they have some stunning machines I have spent a few hours watching them repair and get them up to steam pressure it’s fascinating brings back memories of when my children were younger and we use to spend the mornings on holiday going round and round on the different locos thanks for sharing Keith stay safe all the best

A real pleasure to watch, Keith. Thank you for posting it here. I one of our fires here in California a number of 1/3 scale steam locomotives were lost, along with some other cars, the roundhouse, and some buildings of the Swanton Pacific Railroad.
Watching the action at Urmston restored spirits.

There is a video of the Baltic we bought from Simon going around this track, before it got the beautiful paintwork it has now! That's a beautiful Lion, my friend Nick Guzman has got one that rides on the odd 4.75" gauge of America. Glad to see you having fun.

I remember going there when they ran their week of steam each year, coming up from the south with my terrier, and my ex loco driver mate with his 5 inch schools, we had a wonderful time

The videography was better than I was expecting and you managed to get some interesting shots, the commentary really helps and seeing some details of the fine engineering shows that I missed a good event, I wish I could have been there.

I went to school in Urmston (Urmston Grammar for Boys), and seeing this brought back a few school-day memories :)

It's good to see a young engineer enjoying the hobby! That layout is huge! The idea of elevating the track is a good one, but it must have been very expensive and time consuming to build.

I really enjoyed that, thanks. I shall have to have a bimble round there one of these days! :)

I wish we had tracks that guage in the US but pretty much all we got here is 7.5 inch guage whitch makes geying into live steam quit expensive

To: Mr. A.E. Karnes, in response to your comment about the "Odd..." American guage of 4 & 3/4" inches. This is 1:12th scale, that is 1" inch equals 1' foot. Commonly used by dollhouse modelers. Dollhouses are made of weather proof marine plywood. Then painted with durable polyethylene stains. Some have detailed interiors, with electric lights. They are popular for Christmas displays. With snow covered landscapes. Evoking the American style of the Victorian era of the 1880's Golden age.

Important question though.. are you going to rename Lion to Thunderbolt? Also are you going to make a riding truck that looks like Dan's cabin?

Might be cool to get a GoPro with a magnetic base and mount it to some cast iron parts.
