I‘m from Germany and not the biggest fan of Kerrygold due to the findings below by Stiftung Warentest (a respected consumer magazine in Germany). I recommend butter by "Arla" or "Lurpak" 🙂.

Pesticides: Stiftung Warentest evaluated Kerrygold butter and found that it contains pesticides. While the overall assessment was positive, this specific aspect raised concerns. It’s essential to consider this information when making dietary choices.

Recall: In March 2023, Kerrygold voluntarily recalled some of its butter products due to the potential contamination of Perfluoroalkyl and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAs). This recall highlighted the importance of food safety and the risks associated with consuming contaminated butter.

Microbiological Quality: Stiftung Warentest also warned about high microbial contamination in Kerrygold butter. This aspect affects the overall safety and quality of the product.
