This version of monkey king really blew my mind. Honestly all the Sun Wu Kong’s I’ve watched are all funny and hilarious, but this guy-he was honestly just so serious and cool. I love the animation

Did you notice at the begining of the movie he has a tail but when he is lock and been release by the kid he does not have a tail😐😕😳

One of the good adaptations, but most of the closed captions sucks as it doesn’t quite match for what they’re saying. For instance, when the kid asked Wukong if he had the strength of a hundred men, that was not the case. What he mentioned was about Erlang Shen if he’s stronger than the Monkey King. Also funny for them mentioning about the Power Pole, which is more English dub Dragon Ball rather than saying Noibo or Jingu Bang that weighs 13, 500 catties/jin or almost 8 metric tons. I’ve checked the other one that has a slightly better translation, but it’s not in sync with their speaking moments. Of course, others should’ve translated it better based on the hanzi writing on the screen and it’ll tell you exactly what they’re saying, as I fact checked based on their speech.
