@a1rh3add well i get 25fps when entering riften... everything ultra. and i might get another one soon for a nice crossifre setup ;D

@matawin2 toms hardware has an interesting article on this. Skyrim scales down with your cpu and the i5 650 @ 4ghz doesn't perform much different than my i7 920 running @4ghz. When I upgraded from a 5800 to a 6970 I saw no difference in fps, especially in riften when looking towards the center of town. When you look towards the center of town your fps will drop but looking outwards they shoot up no matter what your gpu is calculating. Watching GPU-z my usage rarely goes over %80

@matawin2 indeed, but you have to remember that it is running off of a 10 year old game engine.

@matawin2 that has little to do with your video card. Your fps is getting bogged down by your cpu.

@matawin2 there wont be a patch for it. Its because of how shitty bethesda's programming is. They use your cpu to render shadows and it never touches your gpu.

Not a bug, it's poor programming. They will not be "fixing" this. Modding community is your best hope.
