I'm at the point where I just don't know what to do anymore. I'm 55 years old and childfree, I worry about girls and women who are losing their rights to personal autonomy. Why is America going backwards?

It's like Seth Meyers pointed out: many Americans only found out about the Tulsa Race Massacre from an episode of Watchmen. Evidentially, it's not mentioned in the history books.

Not just this, they pushed through another one saying that time must be put aside for prayer and Bible study.

When I was at school there were plenty of notices everywhere telling us how to behave, what areas were out of bounds and so on. We paid no attention at all to them, and in fact it became our mission to disobey as many of them as we could. I wonder if these kids will take the same approach to the ten commandments!

They can't put that up. It'll just make me feel guilty for coveting my neighbors oxen. My neighbor has some really nice oxen.

I say if they're going to do this we helped them along and get them to display the correct Ten Commandments I guarantee you though. Right there if we keep pushing that one

It's slightly off topic but I"m reminded of a time I went to high school and a person I went to church with told me "the Bible is banned in our schools" which was kind of a big claim from a guy who I knew went to a *Bible study course* next to my algebra class... and, ya know, got an advertisement for Christianity put on the school announcements very specifically endorsing their own god over literally any others.

The point I"m adding is that the Christian right wing have basically given themselves a sort of perpetual victimhood status to the point where even if we give them literally anything and everything they ask for at all times... they will always feel entitled to the better treatment and it will not stop them from pretending they're persecuted. All the while always persecuting others.

Shouldn’t the first commandment be considered hostility towards other religious people? It clearly states a political power dynamic putting one religion above all others.

I hope that the public schools will point out how many of these commandments trump and prominent republicans have broken
