Just did an oil change on my Valvomax-equipped car. Change went very well. It definitely speeds things up with a lot less risk of a mess. If you do your own changes I recommend this product.

Opening the oil fill cap on top of the engine should keep it from pulsating.

For better air flow to allow your oil to come out smoother and faster. Unscrew the cap up top so it can release the pressure and allow for better flow

I just look on my dash to see my tire Pressure. I did buy this for my 2025 Trax as it starts leaking oil by the threads as soon an you get the drain plug bolt loose making a mess. Im Excited to give this a try.

Great product for people who are looking to change their oil for the first time on their own

The oil change place messed up one time too many, so I currently do the oil changes on 6 family vehicles, and every one of them has a ValvoMax oil drain system. 👍

I always change my oil hot as it allows it to flow better and this allow me to do so without burning my hand

Problem with some of these types of products on some cars is that it protrudes into the pan preventing some oil from draining. See what happens after you drain the pan, then unscrew the valve, see if additional oil comes out. Also, ever wonder why oil drain pan bolts are so big? It's so you get a fairly strong flow out, which can help remove heavier crap in the bottom of the pan. Reducing the diameter reduces the velocity of oil exiting the pan and might lead to les heavy gunk escaping, even though anything in the bottom is unlikely, it is a consideration.

@hidaven No problem with my low clearance car. Made two ramps. Each are three feet long made of three 2x8 for a height 4.5 inches. The three 45 degree cuts are evenly staggered so the car easily goes up. Finally I jack up the rear and put each tire on the 2x4 cribs. Size of the cribs are 12x10.

Fantastic video and explanation...thanks! I have one on my 2015 RAV4 and 2009 Camry. Both vehicles get used alot so oil changes are frequent. Valvomax is awesome for saving time and preventing a mess should it be a windy day since I do my oil changes in driveway. I'm now looking into putting one on my 2023 RAV4 XLE Hybrid Premium.

I’ve been using Fumoto drain valves since 2005 when I did an oil change for a person that just had a Z32 shipped over from Japan. I had only been working on cars a few months( oil changes, brakes, struts etc… I just turned 18 and my first shop job ). This was in Redbank, Tn and I asked the guys wtf it was. All 3 of them lol were perplexed and dude said every car he bought while stationed over there had them. I’ve never had a drain plug since, on anything. Even my old generator from 2002, and not a single one has ever leaked or failed, knock on wood. But I really do not see the advantage to these over them.

I caught many issues with this video but A for effort. 1, heat oil before changing, 2. Don't cut the hose shorter it defeats one of the purposes of the valve which is no need for a mess or drain pan. Use old containers like you said. 3 after connecting drain hose into a large empty container then pop the oil fill to relief the back pressure and oil will flow extremely fast.

I had a fumoto valve for 12 years on my diesel ram truck. Never leaked. I'm sure eventually it will leak, but I'd be dead before that happened.

Chose the Fumoto for a 2005 Kia Sportage V6 2.7L. Drain is on rear of pan, so clearance and exposure is non existence. I like the switch lever release. Better flow rate too. Now Fumoto has new SX models so you can position spout 360. I don’t use a hose, just open and drain. I think they are overpriced at $40 though. Should be about $25.

Ever pull the value out after the oil is done draining to see if there's any oil left in the pan? The threads look like they could be sticking out past the pans threads.
