I always thought that a serrated edge would help a lot with cutting tools like this, even scissors. If only to stop whatever you're cutting from sliding down the blade. Interesting to see it in action.

Hi Ben take a look at the knipex cobolt mini bolt cutters! They’ll be a txtool crib approved for sure, it’s not just bolts either they do a good job on most materials

I can't use small pliers like these if they are not spring loaded, and the "StepCut" doesn't come with a spring. Maybe I'm wrong.

the old one can effectively strip the cable ends too...The new one is only for cutting ( and can strip only small cables ends)
the new one must be fully opened to accept the cables, , The old ones not so much
i can see no real benefit to prefering the new one against the old model

Thats useless review. You can cut that cabke with a 5usd cutters. Test them on 50mm cable
