Awesome 2-player game. A 9 out of 10 for me. Everyone i introduce this to wants to play it again and again. Stick with the classic version. The bright colors and simple artwork is easier to see than in the medieval one. An absolute classic gem By Dr. Knizia.

Fully agree with this review. Amazing game, one of the all time greats. On another note I used to own Battle Line but replaced it with Schotten Totten for the smaller box size, but over time I realised I actually enjoyed the artwork of Battle Line, and preferred the pawns included in Battle Line and also loved the fact that the text for the tactics cards are included on the card itself in the Battle Line version of the game. And now I mis my copy of Battle Line....the smaller box of ST is great though.

Fully agreed that its one of the best 2 player card games in existence. I have schotten totten in the tiny box. Interested in the battlefield mechanics - wife asked "but is this change Reiner Knizia approved??" An important, nay vital question.

I was wondering, if you draw the Fog tactic card, can you play it before all 3 troop cards from both players are placed on any particular battlefield?

If you play with the Battlefield Conditions on the back are you not supposed to play with the Tactcis deck? Do they cancel each other out?
