❌Myth: Sugar causes diabetes
✅Fact: Sugar does not cause diabetes but it’s a good idea to limit added sugars and avoid sugary beverages. There are genetic and lifestyle factors that contribute to the risk of developing Type 2 Diabetes.

❌Myth: I can only eat ‘diabetic’ food
✅Fact: You can eat the foods you like following a carbohydrate-controlled diet.

❌Myth: Fruit has too much sugar.
✅Fact: While fruit does have natural sugars, it also has fiber, vitamins, and antioxidants. Enjoy a serving of fruit paired with a source of protein and/or fat to help balance blood sugars.
